Uuma-Oogma
Uuma-Oogma, the Prince of the Realm Beyond Space, or Devour From the Void, is a dark deity that is worshipped by multiple death cults in the Federal Space.
History and Core Beliefs
First mentions of Uuma-Oogma were discovered on planet Kratos in the Federal Space, and were dated ca. 350 AE. Uuma-Oogma is usually depicted as a gigantic cephalopod that lives inside the dark void between the universes. Its devotees believe that Uuma-Oogma is going to consume the Milky Way galaxy on the apocalyptic event called The Last Night – then only souls of true believers will ascend, meanwhile others will perish for eternity that will follow.

Life in the Cult
Most devotees of Uuma-Oogma live relatively ordinary lives in communes of like-minded people, but few choose to skip the wait until the Last Night. These more extreme cultists tend to sacrifice their adolescent children for their souls to become servants of Uuma-Oogma. Sometimes they also kill themselves in order to ascend early and become guides for Uuma-Oogma on its journey towards our universe.
Cultist’s children are usually allowed to attend public schools as it is mandated by the Federal law, but their parents do everything to hold a tight grip over them. Boys are taught that they will become warriors of Uuma-Oogma, meanwhile girls are groomed to be its brides. Such sexist approach may be a reason why most blood sacrifices to Uuma-Oogma are female.
Legal Status of the Cultists
Since 1061 AE, all cults devoted to Uuma-Oogma were classed as domestic terrorist organizations and thereby are proclaimed illegal in the Federal Space by ratification of the Federal Public Safety Act, Revision 39. Still, Movement for Free Religion and other NGOs have appealed over this parliamentary decision to the Federal Interstellar Court. Hearings about the FPSA r. 39 are still ongoing.
