Numa-5

Numa-5 is the fifth planet from the sun, Numa Primus in the Numa system. Being 75% a desolate desert, Numa-5 was deemed to be unsuitable for colonization. Good distance from the hostile Federal Space made Numa-5 into the perfect home for a few basic mining operations and one Imperial Research Outpost.

The main atrium of the Imperial Research Facility on Numa-5 serves as a recreational garden under a solar well that provides it with limited natural sunlight.

Actual experimental gardens of the New Beginnings Project are located either under large glass domes, or deep in the caves under the facility.

Despite being a scorched desert on the outside, Numa-5 has a vast network of caves under its surface that are filled with pure ground water. This fact made Numa-5 into the perfect place to house the New Beginnings Project, an underground floral research facility that would allow Imperial scientists to develop new species of crops without any risks that would occur out in the farmland.
