RIMA III is an Earth-like planet with mild climate and minimum of hostile wildlife.

History of Humans on RIMA III

Around 200.000 of human colonists were exiled to RIMA III during the Exodus event. By being kidnapped from their homes, these people were unable to bring anything from the Old Earth. It means that no written knowledge, or means to effectively store information were available for them during first decades on the new world. By the time villages turned into city-states and paper got reinvented, Old Earth and its technological advancements became a fading legend and a dream of the past…

The Great Jamilaird

Because humans on RIMA III have never developed beyond the iron age, they did not have any means to confirm their planet’s place in regard to the star it revolves around. This way each civilization on RIMA III has their own name for their planet. People of Kraz call RIMA III for Jamilaird which is derived from “beautiful land” in Arabic.

Behind the Scenes

RIMA III became the first attempt to create a truly alien landscape. First iterations were extremely colorful, but the diversity had to be toned down in order to facilitate a clear artistic language of the comic.
