History
Light Attack Cruiser of Shakasir-class is the most widely used military vessel in the Empire. Designed in early 310s ALU as a response to the Federal threat, the first wave of Shakasir cruisers was deployed merely a decade later. Idea behind the concept was pretty simple – to create a warship that would combine enough of speed, armor and weaponry to both stand against nimble Federal corvettes and be a threat to their heavy cruisers.
Almost immediately after their deployment, Shakasir-class vessels played the crucial role in Igor Khan’s retaliation campaign against the Federation in 322 ALU. During this devastating counterattack inside the Federal Space, these light attack cruisers showed themselves to be extremely effective both against ships of similar size and heavily armored orbital fortresses.
Consequentially, Shakasir-class cruisers became the main patrol and interdiction vessels across the Empire. With thousands of units active and hundreds more commissioned from Zirkonian shipyards the only competition that may challenge Sakashir’s dominance are the newer Vidroop-class heavy attack cruisers.
Prominent Ships
Kai Gadar began his service for the Imperial Navy as a shipmaster onboard a Shakasir-LAC named “Saahas”. Later when he was promoted to a rank of Captain, he was given a similar vessel called “Krodh”. Be it by weird luck or destiny, it was Krodh that has received Elza’s emergency transmission when her ship Agna was shot down over OGL-25.

Behind the Scenes

Production began with an early 3D sketch of ship’s possible shape. It was inspired by a whale shark and utilized flat surfaces for easier editing.

First block-outs of the interior were created long before the standardized Imperial interior construction kit became a thing.

This Intermediate 3D model features the first version of the interior that is made with Construction Kit V1.
It includes: living quarters cargo corridors, escape routs and hangars.
Given the cartoonish style of the project all parts of this ship were created with relatively low polygon counts. As a positive side effect this approach allowed strong inclusion of details like furniture and appliances inside of hero spaces like the crew quarters.
This interior was completely reworked when the Construction Kit V2 was created.

An updated version of Krodh with near-final general shape and complete interior made with the Construction Kit V2.
