Imperial Calendar and Time System
Imperial Calendar and Chronology
Before the Unification, all nations across Limmea had their own distinct views on civilization’s history, and human origins on the planet – all of it was reflected by their distinct calendars. Unmesh Khan saw it as liability and potential source of future descent.
When he became the first planetary Monarch, Unmesh Khan, with support of top Oceanist clergy, announced the Rebirth of History and released a decree that forbid to publish all historical accounts, except for ones that were approved by his Ministry of Prosperous Unity. So, the New Limmean Calendar was established across the whole planet, except for the central parts of Araszin Autonomy.
The New Limmean Calendar begins with the day when The First Monarch have ended the Unification Wars, crushed the White Uprising, and was recognized as the undisputed planetary ruler. Events that take place Before Limmean Unification are marked BLU and are accounted in negative numbers. Events that follow After the Limmean Unification are designated as ALU.
Imperial Standard Cycle
Since the beginning of interstellar expansion, the flow of time across the Empire is measured in Imperial Standard Cycles (ISC) that are equal one Limmean Year.
- 1 Limmean year equals 12 Limmean months or 376 Limmean days.
- One day on Limmea equals 25 hours if compared with time on the Old Earth.
