The Huntress is the secondary antagonist of the ELZA comic series, and the main character of HUNTRESS spin-off comic series.
One of the Imperial Hand
The Huntress is one of the elite Imperial operatives from the Imperial Hand. Her merits and past are covered in mystery. Equally to other Imperial Hands, huntress was personally chosen for the duty by the Imperial Monarch Igor Khan himself.
Later, by personal order of the Imperial Monarch, Huntress was commissioned to serve the the High Curator as her personal agent and enforcer. Since then Huntress began to cleanly shave her head in order to look more similar to her assigned commissioner.
High status of an Imperial Hand allows Huntress to possess and maintain multiple advanced cybernetic upgrades to her body. The most visible of them are her ultrasharp nano-ceramic teeth that augment her wide signature smile.
Behind the Scenes
Huntress was specifically created as an antagonist for ELZA #3. The initial concept behind her was to make a younger version of the High Curator. Later the Huntress got her signature sharp teeth inspired by the villain “Jaws” from the James Bond franchise. Also, the overall appearance of the Huntress resembles somewhat Harkonen aesthetics from Denis Villenueve’s DUNE (2021) – those were downplayed by giving her darker tanned skin and a white armor plate on her chest.
Over a year of development, Huntress have got a ton of unpublished lore and a backstory that will be revealed in her own comic series titled HUNTRESS and planned to release in 2025/2026.
